• Honorably retired from the Bakersfield Police Department after approximately 29 years of service with that California law enforcement agency.

  • During his police-career he worked a variety of assignments and gained valuable investigative experience.

  • His earlier assignments included patrol and traffic enforcement.

  • Advanced traffic accident investigations included speed from skid, crush deformation, lamp or light analysis and time/distance evaluations.

  • Prior to his retirement in December of 2006, he spent about 18 years as a Detective.

  • These assignments included:

    • general investigations

    • narcotics, burglary

    • missing persons

    • almost 8 years as an internal affairs detective.

  • He received specialized training in surveillance techniques and surveillance equipment from:

    • California Attorney General’s Office

    • California Department of Justice

    • United States Drug Enforcement Administration

    • Jarvis International Intelligence, Inc.

• His diverse assignments and training have allowed Mr. Bennett to obtain expertise in a variety of investigative settings.
